How coins are grouped

Every coin is counted in exactly one theme. CoinGecko tags a coin with several categories at once, so we take the first theme in the order below whose CoinGecko category includes the coin. Coins in none of these categories are grouped as Other. The order runs from the most specific theme to the broadest, which is why a stablecoin issued against real-world assets counts as a stablecoin and why Bitcoin counts as a layer-1.

StockMap shows crypto market data only, with no coin forecasts. Data provided by CoinGecko.
